Desires

Desire is a feeling of craving, needing something. As humans, we tend to believe that to get what we want, we must desire it.

Desire is actually an obstacle. It won’t help you to get what you want. It could be an accelerator, but very soon, it will become a break.  Desire won’t help you at all.

Desire means : I do not have. It’s a lack of something, I don’t have it.

The more you have this feeling of desire, the more you are creating and reinforcing this sensation of needing something.

Ultimately, you become addicted to feeling desire. It becomes who you are. This is the reason, why you never get what you want, and why it’s an obstacle.

And…even if you get what you want, your desire will simply move to more and more and more…and you will never satisfy your desires.

The truth is that we forgot something : Happiness is our default state.

And as we forgot that, we create lack, which creates desires. The reason you can’t win with desire is that there is no lack to begin with. It’s based on the wrong assumption. The mind is creating these needs.

The simple answer to desire is to let go of this feeling of lack and drop out all desires (that you want and that you don’t want to have), in order to reconnect with happiness.

But that doesn’t mean that you should not try to reach goals, it means just giving up that need and craving behind them. It’s possible to get those things without coming from this place of lack. You just need to find new ways to be motivated.
